Mark has many years of sales, management and executive experience beginning with Sun Electric Corporation as a zone manager, national account representative and national sales program manager. Mark was also the founder and co-founder of five companies in Asia. These include three joint ventures with Ford Motor Company, Thai Reinsurance, Bangkok Insurance, and HeiTech Padu Bhd. Mark began his career with Sun Electric Corporation in 1974. Sun is a leading manufacturer of automotive diagnostic equipment and vehicle emissions analyzers. He was involved in this business in the United States as a zone manager selling these products to end users in Washington State. In 1979 Mark was promoted to national account executive and transferred to Sun’s world headquarters in Crystal Lake, Illinois where he managed a portfolio that included all of the major oil companies in America with sales of over $14 million per year. In 1981, Mark was promoted to manager of sales programs. In this position he was responsible for developing sales programs for 7 divisions and 52 regional offices that managed a direct sales force of over 600. In 1987 Mark accepted a position with First Interstate Bancorp Group heading up the banks leasing division’s automotive group nationwide. In this position his group provided leasing services to a ‘Who’s Who’ list of automotive manufacturers and suppliers nationwide. In 1989, Mark and his wife moved to Bangkok, Thailand to begin a company representing U.S. automotive manufacturers that included Sun Electric and Chief Automotive Systems. In 1996 Mark moved the company from Bangkok to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia where Mark founded Pac-Auto Marketing, Sdn. Bhd. Pac-Auto is a trading company that sells automotive service equipment in Malaysia. In 1998 Mark was the founder of PAC Total Solutions Sdn. Bhd (PTS). PTS is a software company that develops various software solutions for the automotive and insurance industry. In 2000 Mark and his partners founded MSCL Holdings Sdn Bhd. and merged the following joint ventures into the holding company. The first joint venture is in Malaysia with Hei-Tech Pudu, Bhd., one of the largest publically traded software companies in Asia. This joint venture company is MRC Sdn. Bhd. MRC develops vehicle data that is used by both the insurance and automotive industries. MRC secured an exclusive concession to develop a vehicle parts and labor database from Bank Negara. Bank Negara is Malaysia’s central bank and insurance regulator. The second joint venture is with Ford Motor Company. Mark was hired by Ford as a consultant and at the final stages of the project invited to join Ford and Sime Darby as an equity partner and board member. This company is Masterbody Sdn Bhd and is one of the most modern body shops in the world. The third joint venture is in Thailand where Mark was the co-founder of is EMCS, Ltd., a joint venture with Thai Reinsurance, Ltd. and Bangkok Insurance. These are publically traded reinsurance and insurance companies in Thailand. EMCS is a developer of software, vehicle parts, and labor and repair specifications for the insurance and automotive industry in Thailand. In 2000 Heitech Padu Bhd purchased 61% of the shares of MSCL Sdn Bhd. Mark served as CEO and Executive Director until March of 2002. Mark has done extensive traveling and business through the Pacific Rim and Asia. Countries include Australia, New Zealand, India, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, and Singapore, Thailand. His group managed distributor relationships in each country, joint ventures and relationships with insurance companies and vehicle manufacturers. In March of 2002 Mark and his wife Lumchuan returned to Vancouver, Washington USA to be caregivers for Mark’s dad who had been diagnosed with terminal cancer. In April of 2002 Mark and Lumchuan started a small specialty food company called The Garlic Lady. Mark has been a cancer advocate and caregiver for over a decade. In 2004 the National Patient Advocate Foundation presented Mark with The Outstanding Leadership and Advocacy Award. In June of 2008 Mark began co-facilitating a cancer support ministry at Crossroads Community Church in Vancouver, Washington. In March of 2012 Mark began All Saints Cancer Resource Center DBA Help4Cancer.net in Vancouver, Washington.
